HAPPY NEW YEAR RCE Parents and Families

RCE Mission-
At RCE, we inspire and grow lifelong independent learners who are socially,
academically, and emotionally prepared to be contributing members of society.

With the beginning of a new year, there are numerous goals for RCE that we want to encourage and continue.
·         I absolutely love how our students arrive excited everyday about learning and connecting with their friends & teachers.  My hope is that this will continue and grow for every student so that they will achieve and learn more than they ever imagined.
·         We are fortunate at RCE to have great teachers that love, encourage and challenge students to do their best while working with students on areas that need improvement.  As principal, I want to foster more opportunities for Teacher Professional Development, support in the classroom, and feedback that is helpful.
·         Our parents and volunteers give much of their time, effort and money to support this school.  At this time, our PTA is working hard preparing, planning and orchestrating a stellar Auction Evening for February the 9th at the Norris Center.  There are many ways that you can help so contact one of the Auction Committee Chairs to learn more about how to help/support this RCE/PTA Event.

Reflections Contest Winners Going to STATE!!

Spring Branch ISD looked through 100s of entrees across all the schools in our district.  They chose 1 winner from every category to go on to state. These 2 boys’ entrees were chosen to represent SBISD as well as RCE in their particular category.   Their art work has been shipped to Austin where it will be judged alongside all the other district winner’s art in the state.  The winners should be announced in late April.  It has been awhile since RCE has had an entree go to state, so if you see them around the school tell them congratulations!

This year’s theme was “Heroes Around Me”

5th Grade Parent Meeting about Math

This meeting would be extremely beneficial to current 4th and 5th grade parents.  Choosing the right path for math classes in the upcoming years gets a little complicated.  This meeting will specifically address all your questions about which course your child should take in 6th grade.

There will be an incoming 6th parent meeting at MMS later this semester, however, it will discuss every subject.  If you want to dig deep into the best choices for Math specifically then this is the meeting you should attend.  They are offering the same meeting multiple times at different locations so pick the one that works for your schedule.
