New Interpretive Signage
Walkers may have spotted new interpretive signage in the Western Precinct. These signs provide an overview of some of the flora and fauna to be found in the reserve and help provide a better understanding of the the special environment we are so lucky to be able to enjoy on our doorstep.
New Gate Installed
Parks Victoria have completed a gated system at the end of Jamieson Street to stop access by motor bikes. Walkers will still have access to the track via a sty alongside the gate.
Corinella Boat Ramp Works Progressing
The new ramp facility is coming along with the new ramp manoevering area in place, fish cleaning facilities progressing, and the new pedestrian walkway taking shape.
For further information and ramp construction updates, check the Ramp Upgrade webpage at www.corinellaforeshore.com.au/rampupgrade where you can also subscribe to receive the enewsletter, or check the Corinella Foreshore Facebook site.
Boat Ramp and Jetty Update
The boat ramp is closed.
Check the ramp upgrade webpage for details and progress.

Ramp Fees Refundable
If you purchased an annual ramp pass and it expires after 27 May 2019, please hold onto your pass. The state government has now abolished boat ramp fees so use of the facility will be free once it re-opens. You can register for a refund effective from the date of the ramp closure on the Ramp webpage
Foreshore Reserve Precinct Updates
Jetty Precinct
  • Weeds have been sprayed along the Esplanade near Albon Street and new grasses planted near Albon Street.
Western Precinct
  • Re-vegetation of the area between Hughes Street and Cuthbert Street has been completed by the Heritage Bay developer in line with requirements by DELWP and Bass Coast Shire Council
  • Interpretive signage also installed in the same area.
Working Bee - Good Job!
A busy weekend with 2 working bees held over the weekend of 3rd and 4th August at two locations. The reserve near Beach Street was weeded and cleared, ready for re-vegetation (see before and after pics below). The beach access tracks were widened at Balcombe Street and Jamie son Street, with a chipper used to assist with preparing the areas for re-vegetation. A campsite was found tucked away in the reserve along with a pile of rubbish, and these were cleared away. Well done and a BIG THANK YOU to the volunteers who helped out!
Southern Precinct
  • Fallen she-oak branches have been cut and removed from the stairs at O'Connor Road
  • Tree has fallen across the track after being undermined by wombat excavations. This will be removed.
Northern Precinct
  • A site inspection to be undertaken to formulate a plan to commence restoration works in the area.
Settlement Point Precinct
  • A fallen black wattle branch behind the BBQ shelter has been removed.
