The Jetstream™ Hydrangea is a vast improvement on traditional Oakleaf Hydrangeas. It has a dense, compact, sturdy growth habit that keeps the plant from flopping over when the blooms get big and heavy.
In mid-spring to early summer the flowers begin to develop as large lime green cone shaped buds that turn into pure white blooms, aging to a deep rosy pink. Makes a nice cut flower in all stages. The dark green foliage is resistant to leaf spot and turns orange-red in the fall. Grows best in full sun to part shade in a sheltered location, and gets 5-6' tall with a 4-5' spread.
Jetstream™ is a classic native flowering shrub for the garden, stunning in groups and massing. Exfoliating cinnamon-brown bark adds winter interest, as do the dried flower heads.
