When is an airport more than just an airport?

When it: prepares the next generation of pilots and aviation industry professionals; serves as a welcoming front door to an amazing university and vibrant city; inspires children in our community to dream of flying; and advances critical research in aviation safety, infrastructure and efficiency. Operated by the College of Engineering, The Ohio State University Airport at Don Scott Field has multitasked in this fashion for years, and now its appearance befits its far-reaching impact.

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: CORPORATE AIR PARK

Phase 1 of the corporate air park on the eastern end of the airport is underway, with expected completion by the end of 2019. Utilities, driveway, security fencing and a new taxi lane are being constructed in conjunction with its first new hangar.

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: NORTH RUNWAY REHAB

Phase 2 of Runway 9L-27R rehabilitation will include the restoration of both ends of the runway, microsurfacing of Taxiway Gulf and mill-and-fill of the surface course on Taxiway Foxtrot. This project is scheduled to begin July 8, with anticipated completion in September.
