The perfect storm?
There's good news on the horizon - vaccine pass requirements are to be lifted on 4 April which should help alleviate some of the difficulties businesses have been having.
We've been hearing from many of you that you are anticipating or experiencing difficult times with many factors coming to a head at once - staff absences, labour shortages, supply chain issues, lending restrictions, and inflationary pressure everywhere including the minimum wage rise which comes into effect on April 1.
Hopefully the perfect storm will move on quickly - Transmission Gully is now open - it's predicted that there will be an influx of visitors to the Kāpiti Coast so let's be ready!
In this edition of the Kāpiti Coast Business News:
Finally!
The opening of the long-awaited Transmission Gully is going to be a game changer for the Kāpiti Coast, predicted to bring an economic boost with faster, easier and safer access from Wellington to the Coast.
Not only is it going to add to the attractiveness of the Kāpiti Coast as a place to live and work, but it is also set to bring more visitors.
With that in mind, we have created a new marketing campaign targeted at Wellington visitors. The campaign will include digital and print advertising, and a new landing page on our website.
The aim is to get people off the road and into our town centre and villages, so let's be ready!
