Warden's Parish News 28 August

Dear friends,
Once again it is with sadness that we are letting you know the services at St Barnabas on Sunday 30th and Wednesday 2nd have had to be cancelled.  Fingers crossed for a lifting of Level 2 so we can worship together again and catch up on everyone’s news.

Online Church Services - Movementonline

The Diocesan service is available each week at 10 am on the Movement by mail website - just google movementonline and click on the link, or click on this link  There you will also find a link to the service on YouTube.

For your information, once again due to being in Level 2, the Diocese has cancelled the Ministry Leaders Family camp which was to be held on 4-5 September.  Further information can be found on their website –

Working bee postponed

The working bee planned for this weekend has had to be postponed due to still being in Level 2. The plan is for this to go ahead on 12 September, but this will be confirmed once we are out of Level 2.
Please let Pam know if you are able to come along and give a hand with gardening and general tidying up.  Phone 027 602 7827 or
Looking forward to seeing you there – hopefully we will be able to share morning tea and catch up with each other.

And finally

God lives in every place and he lives very close to you.
No one else is like God.  Only God can live in every place.
Every day and every night God stays beside you
God never leaves you – he always knows what is happening in your life
Some days you feel God is close to you, other days you feel God is far away
No matter how you feel about God he is always beside you, God never goes away.
If you reach out your hand you can’t feel God
If you look around you can’t see God
But he is always there no matter how you feel
Say hello to God.

Take care, keep safe and be kind.
God bless,

Flora and Lee

We are very grateful to all of you who continue to support us financially, as the Parish needs to continue to meet various costs including wages, rates, some utilities, etc.  For those who can continue to provide support in these difficult times it would be much appreciated if envelope giving could be converted to direct debit to the parish bank account.
