Warden's Parish News 4 September

Dear Friends
Church will be open this weekend and we welcome Rev Jonathan Boyes to take our services.  Thank you, Jonathan.
The services will be the usual 8am and 10am ones with some adaptation to follow the government and Diocesan Level 2 restrictions.

  • Please sign in as you come into church using either the QR code or by writing your name and phone number on the sheet provided.
  • Communion will be in one kind (bread only)
  • There will be no handshakes, hugs etc at the passing of the peace – just a friendly word and a smile or an elbow bump.
  • The seating is also different – you will notice when you come into church that there are blue crosses marked on the pews.  Please seat in these places giving the required one metre spacing.  Of course, you can sit next to anyone who is in your ‘bubble’.
  • There will be no morning tea after the 10am service.

Peggy Burton

Please keep our lovely Peggy in your prayers as she recovers from a short hospital stay following a small stroke.  Peggy is back at home and well on the way to recovery.  We are looking forward to seeing you back at church soon Peggy.

The postponed working bee will now be on 12 September 9am – 12 noon

The work will be around the gardens, washing down paintwork (where easily accessible) and more general tidying up.  Are you available to help please? Please let Pam (027 602 7827 or Or you can catch Pam after church on Sunday.

And finally, some words from Joy Cowley’s Psalms for the Road
God Bless You
God bless you, my friend
May the seasons of your life be held in love.
May your winters be short and your summers long.
May smiles pour upon you, warm like the sun
and may your tears refresh like the rain.
May your garden flower abundantly
Sweetening your neighbourhood,
and may your roses always bloom larger than their thorns.
God bless you, my friend.
May your wisdom increase like a deep rooted tree
and may peace always nestle in its branches
to sing to you above the noise of the storms.
May you always see yourself in God’s plan for a blossoming earth,
and may the fragrance of your truth be a celebration for all.
God bless you, my friend.

Take care, keep safe and be kind.
God bless,

Flora and Lee

We are very grateful to all of you who continue to support us financially, as the Parish needs to continue to meet various costs including wages, rates, some utilities, etc.  For those who can continue to provide support in these difficult times it would be much appreciated if envelope giving could be converted to direct debit to the parish bank account.
