New Arrivals

New arrivals on the farm and in the Farm Shop since the last newsletter so I thought I would share!

We also have more workshops available! If you would like any particular workshop please let me know and I will sort one out for you!

Welcome Canyon

Just me and my llama!! Welcome to the farm handsome Canyon!

He is only 6 months old and he is already as tall as most fully grown alpacas so he is going to be a big boy!

Be still my beating heart - those ears! It was love at first sight!

Alpaca DK (8 ply)

This yarn is special. Why do you ask?

Our new Acacia base is a really lovely blend of 80% alpaca and 20% merino - non super washed. 100grams, 8ply and approx. 190 metres. That's the technical bit....

The really good bit is this yarn has been grown and processed in NSW! In fact this yarn has a 3 hour travel distance from where the fibre was grown to where it was processed into yarn. Yep that's right...only 3 hours!

At Blackwattle we have immense pride in producing stunning yarn with as little environmental impact as possible and this yarn is no exception.

There are 15 stunning colours to choose from. As soon as the next shipment arrives from the mill, and I get them into my dye pots, more colours will be added to the shop!

Fairlight Fibers - USA

We are pleased to announce that Fairlight Fibers, an online shop, located in Seattle, Washington, is now stocking our natural 4 ply 100% alpaca yarn soon.

These beauties will be shipped to the US this week.

We are super excited that Jess reached out and asked if we could provide stock for her fabulous online store. Thank you Jess!

I have created a range of limited edition Blurre Packs, which include 5 skeins of yarn and pattern.

Blurre is a very pretty crochet pattern designed by Deanne Ramsey from Addydae Designs.
