Presented case study explores the basics of a coupling protocol optimization using covalent immobilization of Recombinant Prokaryotic Lectins on CIMmic CDI-0.1 and CIMmic ALD-0.1 columns, as an example. Carboxyimidazole and aldehyde activated CIMmic™ columns are used for covalent immobilization of amine or thiol containing molecules.

Austrian ambassador visits BIA Separations

Austrian ambassador in Slovenia mag. Sigrid Berka visited BIA Separations on 20th of February. At the meeting Emmerich Zöchbauer, Chairman of the Board of Directors, emphasized the importance of gene therapy, which is the technology of the future: "Soon we will not only treat the symptoms of the disease. Replacing defective genes will treat people and thus prevent the development of disease.
