Happy Monday! I hope you enjoyed the weekend and had weather as beautiful as we were blessed with in Charlotte!
The smile and palm trees are from my President's Day weekend in Las Vegas! I spent the long weekend reconnecting with myself, my girls and to treat myself to some good times. When you think of Vegas, self-care is the last thing that comes to mind, but it's now one of my favorite winter destinations for a quick self-care getaway. With its focus on lavish living, Vegas is actually a perfect place to shower yourself with love and self-care if you know how to do it right!

Are you feeling the intense emotional energy surrounding us as the New Moon rose in Pisces yesterday? Love and money will be in focus during this new moon cycle. New moons signal new beginnings and are a great time to reflect and set your intentions for what you want to manifest in your life this season. Now is the perfect time to set your intentions to cultivate more self-love! 

How can you manifest more self-love this season? 
Consciously making the decision to take care of yourself, in spite of how you may be feeling, is a great way to realign with higher vibrational energy. Self-care is the key to looking & feeling your best and manifesting more love and positive experiences into your life!

This week's theme is:  Treat Yourself to Self-Care 

Self-care is all about doing the things that make you feel happier, healthier and high vibrational. It's about taking the time to pour the love into yourself that you so willingly give to others and aligning with your highest self.  If you're feeling down on yourself, the best thing you can do is make the choice to do something loving for yourself instead of focusing your energy on what's wrong.

Here are 10 ways you can incorporate self-care into your everyday life:
  • Start each day with 3 positive affirmations to boost your self-confidence.
  • Get a massage to relieve physical tension (there's almost always a deal on Groupon for this!) 
    • If you want to kick it up a notch, try a Thai massage!
  • Treat yourself to nourishing healthy meals. What are you telling yourself with the food you choose to put in your temple? Do you choose foods that show you love yourself or foods that are sabotaging your health goals?
  • Spend time on a yoga mat or incorporate deep restorative stretches into your daily routine
  • Prioritize regular exercise by building your schedule around your wellness instead of trying to fit it in with other obligations.
  • Spend time connecting with your creative passions. Did you grow up writing poetry, drawing, painting, doing improv? Carve out time to do all the things you loved before life got in the way.
  • Getaway for a solo weekend to reconnect with yourself or spend time with people who make you happy.  Leave the drama queens and kings at home and create an experience that is truly peaceful and *easy*.
  • Go for walks after you get home from work. 
  • Meditate in the morning to set the tone for a peaceful day & meditate before bed for a deeper sleep.

How to use this mantra: Repeat this mantra three times and then close your eyes and feel the energy that you are drawing to yourself. Reflect on what this means for you. If you find yourself feeling off-balance this week, come back to this mantra. For added power, write it down on a sticky note and place it somewhere you will see it all week.

Spend time this week creating a self-care plan that you can commit to upholding. How you treat yourself will manifest in every aspect of your life, so it's important (and NOT selfish) to prioritize doing anything you need to do to be a better version of yourself. Even if you only commit to 30 minutes a day of self-care, it's a huge step in the right direction. When you spend time loving yourself, that love radiates to and through you. You deserve it!
