Honoring the Legacy of Chadwick Boseman🖤

Hi <<First Name>>,

How are you doing this morning? 2020 has dealt us another devastating blow. The news of Chadwick Boseman's passing was not something I was ready for.  I don't always find myself emotional about celebrity deaths, but this one hit me...hard. I found myself going back and forth between tears, awe, and disbelief that someone who gave us such a phenomenal body of work, was suffering for a majority of the time. Chadwick Boseman was a prolific actor, activist, and all-around beautiful human being.  He was most known as our Black superhero and King T'Challa from "The Black Panther". He brought our stories to life in such a dignified way and his love for his people showed in his work and his life.

When something happens in life that rocks my foundation, I like to take a step back to reflect on any lesson that can be learned from the situation. Reflecting, for me, is a great way to process grief because it allows me to detach from the often overwhelming emotions to see the bigger picture. While I'm devastated that Chadwick is gone too soon, I am honored and grateful that he shared his gifts with us.  I hope you find a way to make peace with everything we've experienced this year. Know that you are not alone and it's ok to be overwhelmed.

You were a KING among men, a beacon of light in dark times, and a joy to witness. Rest Peacefully, Chadwick. Long live the King! Wakanda forever... 🖤

How to use this affirmation: Repeat this affirmation three times and then close your eyes and feel the energy that you are drawing to yourself. Reflect on what this means for you. If you find yourself feeling off-balance this week, come back to this mantra. For added power, write it down on a sticky note and place it somewhere you will see it all week.

I am sending you so much love during this time. I know the world feels so chaotic right now, but I encourage you to learn from Chadwick's legacy and find your light every day. Give yourself permission to be happy, be joyous, and be kind. The world needs our light now more than ever.

Before you go, <<First Name>>, I would really appreciate it if you could share this e-mail with a few friends and family members who are looking for wellness, spirituality and travel guidance. Let's grow our #dope community!
