Initially, to accommodate Covid-19, The Estate 1 Association allowed all Contractors to gain access via Gate 2. However over the last few months there has been an increase in traffic congestion at this Gate.
It has now become problematic for Residents/Club Members accessing Gate 2. Management has now decided to revert to pre-Covid protocols relating to Contractor's Access Procedures.
From now on Estate 1 Contractors will only be permitted access via Gates 1 and 3, and Reference codes will be only valid for two days. Only Contractors carrying out work at The Club will be granted access at Gate 2.
2. REFUSE
Estate Management have noticed that there are several properties on the Estates that are leaving black refuse bags on the verges for collection on Wednesdays. The black refuse bags must be placed in green wheelie bins at all times.
Estate 1 Rules:
10.6 Refuse
The collection and removal of domestic refuse is under the control of the Local Authority and is carried out at times and frequencies determined by them.
10.6.1 All domestic refuse shall be put in the plastic bags supplied by the Local Authority and kept in a bin, purchased by the Owner, in a suitable place within his property and screened from public or neighbour’s view.
On prescribed days and times the bags must be placed by the Resident on the sidewalk outside the residence ready for collection. Bags may not be placed on the sidewalk on any other day nor on the night before collection days. (Garden refuse may be put out with domestic refuse but in Metro plastic bags, purchased by the Owner, as directed under “Upkeep and Maintenance of Gardens.”)
10.6.2 In the case of bulk refuse or where refuse is of such a size or nature that it cannot be removed by the normal service, the owner shall make special arrangements with the local authority or a private contractor and all costs thereof shall be for the owner’s account.
Estate 2 Rules 3.6 Refuse
3.6.1 eThekwini Municipality is responsible for the collection of refuse from Estate 2. Each household is required to provide a “wheelie” bin, which must be placed on the road verge with the refuse bags inside it, by each household early on collection days. It is not permitted to burn garden refuse, however, soft gardening off cuts/lawn cuttings/etc., may be placed in official blue garden refuse bags and put out for collection on the same days as domestic refuse.
3.6.2 Under no circumstances may refuse be put out and left on road verges overnight or over weekends.
Your kind attention to these matters is appreciated.
Kind Regards
