Request support from our Wellbeing Team

We’ve created a way for you to request support for your son or daughter from our wellbeing team. Just click the umbrella above to make a request. You can also find out more in the following video > click here.
Parent wellbeing survey

We regularly conduct wellbeing checks with all of our students, particularly so during lockdown. One way is through a wellbeing questionnaire and we will be sending a short survey through our tutorial communications next week to gauge their wellbeing and IT access arrangements. However, we also thought it would be sensible to offer a wellbeing survey to parents and carers that might allow us to pick up any concerns that students may not have raised in their own answers. Please take a moment to fill out the survey > take survey now.
The Mental Health Foundation is part of the national mental health response during the coronavirus outbreak. This website has useful information on areas such as: Loneliness during lockdown, mental health tips, acts of kindness, looking after your mental health and wellbeing when staying at home > click here to learn more.
We are looking to celebrate the contributions our 'Priestley Heroes' have been making in the community over the past year. We start with Louanne who answered the NHS's call last summer and became a health carer. You can read her inspiring story here. We know there are many more students who have made a difference during the pandemic and would love to know who you think deserves some recognition. Email your suggestions to a.moores@priestley.ac.uk
Reading Well supports you to understand and manage your health and wellbeing using helpful reading. The books are all recommended by health experts, as well as people with lived experience of the conditions and topics covered and their relatives and carers. You can be recommended a title by a health professional, or you can visit your local library and take a book out yourself > click here to visit the website.
Keys to Happiness

Throughout January to February half term, all students will be involved in wellbeing activities alongside their planned tutorials. This is to ensure all our students are supported. We have prepared some ‘keys to happiness’ that are relevant to everyone, you can find them here. On this page you can also find a check list that will help you address any stress you might be feeling right now.

Tue 9 February
Thu 11 February
4pm-7.30pm

Our Parents’ Consultation Evening is an opportunity for you to talk with your child's subject tutors about their progress and if necessary to discuss any subject-related issues.

Your son / daughter is also welcome to join the conversation.

If you are not able to make an appointment on these evenings please email to arrange a phone call / email update. Additionally, as some of our tutors work part-time and may not be available, we would again encourage your son / daughter to arrange a phone call / email update.

For these, or any other enquiries, please email enquiries@priestley.ac.uk  Appointments are approximately every 10 minutes.

Please note that the last lesson of the day on both event dates may be delivered flexibly to allow tutors adequate preparation for their appointments and to ensure a smooth transition from teaching to parents evening. Please make yours via our online booking system (details will be emailed to the student’s primary contact over the next week).
