A message from the Headteacher

Year 11's

Well, done to the year 11s who have worked so hard during and in preparation to their mocks. This has been a great learning opportunity to think about themselves and the strategies they have used. Teachers will go through the papers and work on any misconceptions. Students will be given their results in the final week of term in an envelope to replicate and prepare for the real experience. These results will also be placed on Insight. Well, done again for their fantastic attitude. Awesome.

Behaviour

We have had reports of a student banging on windows at properties on North Road on the way home from school. Currently we do not know the name(s) of students, however staff members will be investigating this further. Our students are normally well-behaved when leaving the site and respectful to the community. Please can you reinforce our message about respect when they are returning home.

Bath Rugby Foundation

We have been lucky enough to have Bath Rugby Foundation come into school to work with our year 10 girls and take an after-school club for us. It has been a big hit within the year 10 curriculum lessons and the other half of year 10 will experience this after Christmas.

The girls had the opportunity to go on a trip on Sunday 21 November. Bath Rugby Foundation created an U15s team that included new club transitions and participants from project rugby sessions which included two of our girls from year 10. They participated in a touch tournament as part of a Worcester Warriors event. The girls even got to meet Worcester Warriors Women players. The day finished with watching England vs USA in the Women’s Autumn internationals at Sixways stadium.

The girls had a great time and many thanks to the foundation for putting the even on for them.

PE department

Year 7 Model Cells

Below is some of the amazing model cells that have been created by 7LG7 and 7LG4. All Year 7 Science classes will be doing this before Christmas. I think you will agree that these are awesome. It was lovely to see so many different designs and ideas.

Mulching - Saturday 4 December, 10am-12pm

We made a good start on mulching the garden beds last month, please help us to finish the remainder! Bring gloves and a drink, we’ll supply some sweet treats. Really looking forward to seeing you.

Christmas Trees

Dear Friends

We are delighted to share that this year for the first time we are selling Christmas Trees and we’d love it if you’d consider buying a tree from us – all proceeds will go towards Mentoring Plus and helping young people in our local community.
We’d encourage you to pre-order in November as we have a limited number of trees – pick up is from Riverside Youth Hub on 4 or 5 December – all details are in the link below :-
