News


More details have been announced on the federal wage subsidy program. Businesses and non-profit organizations seeing a drop of at least 30% in revenue due to COVID-19 will qualify for the government's 75% wage subsidy program. Details on how to apply are yet to be released on the Government of Canada website.

The Canada Council for the Arts has announced plans to provide approximately $60 million in advance funding, the equivalent of 35% of annual grants held by over 1,100 core funded organizations.
 
BC: The BC Arts Council has announced a number of updates relevant to their grantees, including advances on grants for those receiving operating funding.
 
Ontario: The Ontario government has prohibited organized pubic events and social gatherings of more than five people, They have also issued an emergency order allowing not-for-profit corporations to hold virtual meetings of their board of directors, and extending the timeframe for AGMs to be held.
