AN ART FILLED LIFE

As 2018 Comes to a Close

I want to send a heartfelt thanks to all of the members and volunteers who gave their time and financial support to strengthen Gallery 119.
  • We made good headway to the gallery’s appearance both inside and out.  We are just about done with the facade in the front of the building.
  • We served the local community by offering meetings in the gallery for Madison County functions.
  • Kids Camp continues to get better every year to benefit our local children.
  • Our membership has grown to the highest since PAS started.

All with the help of you, our members.  Thank You.

As we look forward to 2019 and a new president. I hope you’ll consider, to join -rejoin our efforts to bring art to Pendleton and strengthen our community. Your membership supports our projects throughout the year for art classes, Kids camp and community involvement. We launched the “Building Fund” at the third quarter end of the year to strengthen our financial health at Gallery 119. We ask that you continue to consider donating money to that cause. You still have time before the end of the year to help your tax situation.

Be sure to Vote

Voting at our election meeting is on January 21st and we ask you to attend to vote for who you want to move PAS forward in the coming years. A proxy vote was sent to you by email. Please read and if you have questions, please let us know.

 PAS-A Place to Enjoy Art

Earlier this month I went to my granddaughters Christmas Concert and when I was watching her do her solo of Noel, (she really did great) it reminded me that music is a lot like art. In Music some have a voice to sing, some have a tune to write and some can play an instrument, but everyone can enjoy the sound of music. In Art, some can draw, some can paint and some can make art in whatever media they like, but everyone enjoys art when they see it. PAS is the place to find and enjoy Art.

As always, you don’t have to produce fine art to be a member. Just do what makes you happy and have fun.

Wishing you the happiest of Holidays and New Year.

Create something that gives you joy!
Jerry Wymer
PAS President

Building Fund - For Arts Sake

In 2013, a group of Pendleton Indiana artists formed the Pendleton Artists Society. In just five years, the organization has grown to over 134 members, and has developed a unique presence in Madison county and beyond. Now we are hoping to pay off the mortgage to allow us to do more for our community and the arts.
