A Quarter of the Year is Upon Us
Welcome to Smashcut! A PSA Newsletter dedicated to giving you all the industry news in an entertaining and informative way. April showers may bring May flowers but nothing compares to what’s inside the latest edition of Smashcut! With the Oscars now in the rearview mirror, we can finally set our sights on what’s really important – summer blockbusters. It may only be Spring but we’re chomping at the bit to see what’s coming out for the summer. With that said, we have another outstanding newsletter this month – chock-full of great industry news and membership happenings. Carlo Dall’Olmo (Screenwriter/Board Member): Started to outline his first novel. Has always wanted to attempt this form of writing. Was able to obtain a $500 grant for PSA through his place of employment.
Tony Severe: PSA Board Member T Severe’s recent film, The Seed Of Consequences, won Honorable Mention as best feature film at the Australia International Film Festival. More at: seedofconsequences.com

Scott Gore (PSA and Board Member): Filming for his screenplay Woman in the Maze, staring Meredith VanCuyk, will take place between Mar 14-28 in Amarillo, TX, PHX and Prescott and Jerome.
Adam White (PSA member and screenwriter): He released his latest feature film, Funny Thing About Love, starring Jon Heder and Barry Corbin in December. He is currently finishing the first draft of his latest feature which is a Sci-fi epic.
Bevery Nault (PSA member and screenwriter/novelist): She’s enjoyed the chance to read and review several books for PSA now and she thinks many of them will help her screenplays. She hopes our members take advantage of the suggestions both Jessica and her are presenting. She’s also been learning a lot by attending PSA events such as the class led by Bob Saenz. Her feature screenplay, Perfect Misfits, that she brought to the Actors Reading Writers event in September, won “Best First Time Feature Screenwriter” in the Content 2022 Film Festival and Media Summit Contest, and has been selected in several others that haven’t been announced yet. Baby steps! She also just learned her screenplay (which she brought to Actors Reading in September also won Best Screenplay and Best Writer in the Christian Online Film Festival. She’s very honored!
